Nvidia shield features Google Assistant

Google Assistant was introduced to NVIDA SHIELD in 2017. Although the experience he presented has not been entirely good, and integrated across platforms, the Assistant on SHIELD is slowly learning and growing.

According to the latest blog upload by NVIDIA, Assistant on SHIELD can now send messages to other Assistant supported devices in the home of users, such as Google's smart speakers.

For example, users can send messages containing voice commands from SHIELD to enable TV to all Google Home and Google Mini at home.

Another new feature allows SHIELD to broadcast footage from security cameras connected to user television. Nest or Logitech Circle users can instruct Assistant to display a surveillance camera at the front door on SHIELD on television.

In addition, NVIDIA also claims that SHIELD TV with Google Assistant support can now work with smart home devices from more than 150 brands in the world, including Ecobee Thermostats, LG SmartThinQ appliances, and more.

Previously, NVIDIA has authorized an official letter stating that its products are only for gamers, and the brand is committed to providing only the best graphics card for gamers.

The popularity of GPU for mining makes NVIDIA experience a product stock shortage. Due to such usage, the age of their products is very short.

Meanwhile, NVIDIA makes an explicit clarification of the media coverage of Engadget related NVIDIA GPU devices that are considered threatened by Meltdown and Specter attacks. An update to the NVIDIA driver software it launches is a precautionary measure.

In early January, NVIDIA also announced the SOC for autonomous cars. Named Xavier Drive, each SoC has 9 billion transistors with 8 CPU cores and a 256 core GPU based on NVIDIA's Volta architecture.
