Shigeru Miyamoto announced in the Nintendo Direct this morning that his Pokemon Short Movies can be purchased through the eShop. This short animated film was first shown at the 27th Tokyo International Film Festival.
This package contains three films are: "The Night juicers," "Treasures in a Bottle," and "Occupational Hazards." You can purchase all three films with a total duration of 20 minutes with a price of about five dollars. Nintendo offers two versions: Pikmin Short Movies 3D for Nintendo 3DS which can be watched in 3D, and Pikmin Short Movies HD for the Wii U that can be watched with high definition quality. The short film also features a scene also cuts production when Miyamoto made a storyboard for a short film using Flipnote Studio on the DSi.
Nintendo also announced that they have also released a free demo of Pikmin 3 that can be taken from the eShop. Progress of the demo can be transferred to the full version if you buy the Pikmin 3. The game was first released in August 2013 for the Wii U.
